St George's Day at the Bull, Stanford Dingley.

A local artist had been commissioned to produce a new pub sign, and here it is, with Mike G, Ian, Linda and Chris posed beneath.

We've just come off from a dance.

Pam is just explaining that "it was this long!". It's a shame that we can't remember what "it" was.

The landlord had recovered from a recent music session when he had forgotten to apply for his licence renewal - but just in case he was resting on his laurels, he was reminded now and then.

On St George's day the licence was put to good use, and both audience and OBJ had an excellent time.

The evening was beautiful, with the moon and venus prominent in those dark skies.

Dancing in the street outside the 14th century pub, with the pound and the church in the background. The pound was gifted to the village as a place to put your horse whilst in the pub or church. These days it's where you park your blue Maserati.

You come halfway across the world and what happens? You're having a quiet pint and you get roped into a morris dance.

One of the audience was visiting Bracknell from USA. In a past life he had been a morris dancer, so we encouraged him to "have a go".

The smile says it all.

Tiff ceased to be a teenager that evening. Here are the cakes baked by Jenny and Hazel for the occasion.

Abi is in the midst of GCSEs and her mum had been making up her mind for some time whether she should be allowed to go to Christchurch festival with us.
